Investing in a future where people and nature thrive together

Our Core Belief

We believe people, nature, and climate thrive together. In many communities, livelihoods depend on the health of forests, farms, coastlines, and watersheds. When these systems decline, so do people’s opportunities.

We support solutions that restore nature, contribute to a stable climate, and strengthen livelihoods. This is where lasting change becomes possible.
What We Fund
We fund non-profit organizations working at the intersection of environmental health and economic opportunity.

This includes, for example agroforestry, community-led conservation, sustainable fisheries, renewable energy, waste management, nature-based tourism, and other approaches that contribute to climate mitigation and resilience.
Our current geographic focus is India. Organizations do not need FCRA registration to be eligible for funding from the Foundation.
How We Work
We provide multi-year grants, typically over a minimum of three years, because building trust, local capacity, and viable economic systems takes time.
Our aim is to help these systems become stronger and less dependent on external funding.

CENTER FOR ENVIRONMENT AND HUMANITY, KODAIKANAL, TAMIL NADU
The KIS Center for Environment & Humanity (CEH) works at the intersection of learning, livelihoods, and conservation in the Palani Hills – one of South India’s most ecologically significant mountain ecosystems. As a regional knowledge hub, it generates income through education programs and partnerships, and reinvests that capacity into conservation and community-based work on the ground. This model supports long-term environmental outcomes while sustaining core operations.

We provide core funding to strengthen CEH’s institutional capacity and targeted support for programs that integrate education, research, and community engagement to turn environmental awareness into measurable action.
