Invecta Foundation is a philanthropic organization established to advance pathways where human livelihoods and wellbeing are strengthened by, and contribute to, the health of nature and climate.
Our Guiding Principles
01
Economic alignment as the engine of durability
We prioritize approaches where economic incentives sustain care for natural systems over time.
02
Climate and nature as a defining condition
Climate and ecological conditions shape the context in which livelihoods exist. We support initiatives where livelihoods are strengthened in ways that also contribute positively to climate and nature.
03
Long-term orientation
Nature- and climate-based livelihoods unfold over extended timeframes. We support multi-year commitments that allow systems to mature and establish long-term viability.
04
Local context and community agency
We support approaches led by, or deeply rooted in, local communities. We value indigenous and local knowledge and work to complement it with relevant technical expertise where useful.
05
Evidence, learning, and adaptability
We value learning, iteration, and evolution of strategies based on evidence from the field.
Governance, Transparency and Accountability
Invecta Foundation is established as a charitable trust, with offices in Bengaluru, India and Sydney, Australia. Strategic and funding decisions are made at the board level, with oversight from an advisory group that brings independent perspective, drawing on experience across philanthropy, finance, and policy.
Funding is structured for independence
We provide multi-year support to help programs become self-sustaining and less dependent on external funding.
We provide ongoing support and stay engaged
We work closely with partners throughout the life of a grant, providing institutional and capacity support and regularly reflecting on learnings from the field to guide progress and decisions.
What we do not fund
Political or religious campaigns.
Standalone or short-term projects.
Approaches that bypass community agency or local contexts.
Research or pilots without a clear path to real-world application.
